The Pacific Highway Upgrade, Highfields — Newcastle, NSW, involved a detailed business case analysis to justify the project’s investment. This project required:
- Economic assessment: Evaluating the economic benefits of the project, including cost savings and return on investment
- Social impact assessment: Evaluating the social impacts of the project, including job creation and community benefits
- Environmental impact assessment: Evaluating the environmental impacts of the project, including effects on local ecosystems
By conducting a thorough business case analysis, we were able to demonstrate the value of the project to stakeholders and secure funding.
The 2023 Murray River Crossings (MRC) Strategic Business Case (SBC) assessed options for improving the 32 road crossings between New South Wales and Victoria. Under Andrew’s leadership as Project Director, the SBC and its Supplement focused on safety, efficiency, connectivity, and heritage considerations. These studies were developed collaboratively by Transport for NSW and Victoria’s Department of Transport, leveraging the longstanding Moiety Agreement and Movement and Place Frameworks to identify and prioritize strategic cross-border projects.
A report on the assessment of the Murray River Crossings
